Today took us to Eberbach (D) for another LCD Clubshow for a very busy day. Sadly Elle couln’t be there today as she was back in the UK for a family visit. This meant Ron had both boys to show.
First up was Indy in Puppy Class. With very constructive and lovely comments from Judge Eva Ebeling (D) he was once again awarded a Very Promising 1st Place and in the end was also awarded the prize for Best Puppy. The (not so) little one (and Ron) still has a lot to learn and more experience to gain but this is a very promising start to a show career.
Next up was Riley. This was the first time that Ron showed Riley and both did very well. Riley really seemed to be in the mood today and showed well. Although his assessment still resulted in and “Excellent” mark Riley was sadly not the type Judge Eva Ebeling was looking for today and he didn’t get a placing. This doesn’t means we are any less proud of him. We know the reality is that each Judge had their own preferences and opinions.
First up for the girls – Riley and Indy’s mum – Tess (“A Sense of Pleasure’s Pepsi), shown by owner Dagmar Eck. We have already mentioned before what a remarkable and lovely dog Tess is and today the judge agreed with us and awarded Tess an Excellent First Place.
Today Ron also had the opportunity to show a friend’s dog – the beautiful Cola (“Watersplash Cherry Cola”) owned by Dagmar Wetz. Cola had no show experience but she did remarkably well in the ring – almost getting placed in the final 4 in a highly competitive Open Class. She proved to be a lovely dog to show. She was still awarded with an Excellent assessment with lovely comments from the judge. Somehow we think we might see more from Cola.
In the same class was Riley’s sister June (Delicious June vom Storkenbusch) who was shown by owner and breeder Dagmar Eck. June was on top form today after a short break from showing and she came back with bang – being awarded 1st Place with Excellent assessment. With this June also received her first Challenge Certificate for German Champion VDH.
To end the day the LCD-CAC for the bitches had to be awarded. Here both June and Tess were in the running as they had both won their classes. Dagmar Eck asked Ron to show June whilst she showed Tess. It was an absolute honour and privilege for Ron to be able to accept the LCD CAC for June and Dagmar. Tess in the end won the Reserve CAC.
What an absolute fabulous day in Eberbach and we are so happy the Storkis were so well presented there.
