Introduction

Barney joined us on the 21st of December 2019, slightly unexpected. We had heard that Barney was looking for a new home at the Barking Voices kennel. He has a great predigree but far more important we know some of the dogs in his pedigree, in particular father Tillythale Skyfall (“Sky”), and Baleynose Parker (“Parker”), both owned by our dear friend Gerda Groeneweg. Barney was bred by her daughter Femke with the lovely Coz I Can of the Barking Voices (“Ziva”). One things was for sure – this was going to be a lovely dog.

Barney was born on 5th September 2019

We went to meet Barney at the beach close to Femke’s house and it we instantly fell in love with the little boy. More importantly, both Riley and Indy seemed to really take to him. And so we ended up with our third labrador retriever pup in the house.

Barney is fully settled in and starting to join in our activities. We’re very excited to see what this young man is going to show us. He is already best mates with Indy while Riley keeps a close watch on him and makes sure he’s safe. With his 2 big brothers by his side Barney is a proving to be a very inquisitive and confident young dog.
